Nipissing University is using social media Tuesday morning to warn students and residents that a bear has been spotted on Cedar Heights Road, near the school’s main campus.
The general public, and especially students from urban areas who are attending school in North Bay and are unfamiliar with human interactions with wildlife, are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Bear Wise program.

You are encouraged to call 9-1-1 or local police if you feel a bear poses a threat to your personal safety.
