North Bay Police Service is reporting five separate break and enters occurring over the Labour Day weekend that they are currently investigating.
Police say overnight Saturday, September 3 into Sunday, September 4, unknown suspects made entry at Vic’s Shoe Repair, located at 107 Shirreff Ave. The front door had been smashed and a small amount of cash was taken.
The North Bay Foot and Ankle Clinic had a window smashed, through which entry was gained. Damage from the break and enter is estimated at $5,000. The Trout Lake Road business was ransacked but nothing is reported missing. The incident occurred at approximately 5 pm on Saturday.
Again on Saturday, a rock was used to smash the main doors of the Seymour Animal Hospital and a small amount of cash was taken.
Bavarian Meats also had its glass door smashed to gain entry sometime between Sunday, September 4 and Monday, September 5. The office was ransacked and a laptop was stolen.
On Monday, a window was smashed and entry made into Alex Killop Tax Services on Champlain Street. A small amount of cash was taken and damage is estimated at $800.
NBPS says that all of the above incidents are under investigation.
