North Bay Police Service has charged a 40-year-old North Bay man with two counts of uttering threats, assault of a peace officer with intent to resist arrest, and two counts of breach of probation after police were contacted concerning the threatening complaint.
Police say on Tuesday, the man was at the residence of some acquaintances. While there, police say he threatened to kill the people he was visiting.
Later Tuesday, police received a call about an unwanted man at a gas station on Algonquin Avenue. When police arrived, the man was identified as also being involved in the threatening complaint. When police attempted to arrest the suspect, police say he resisted arrest.
Once additional officers arrived on the scene, the arrest was completed. The man is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
