Soldier On Golf fundraiser extended due to rain

Soldier On Golf, a program designed to raise funds for members of the military experiencing physical injury or mental illness, was originally slated to take place over the Labour Day weekend at local golf courses but was washed out due to inclement weather.

Due to the donation-based nature of the charity, local courses such as the North Bay Golf and Country Club and Highview Golf Club are extending the collection period for the initiative, in some cases until the end of September.

Soldier On Golf, locally, is the brainchild of Hon. Col. Tom Hedican, also known for his charitable work with the Coach4Food program. Soldier On Golf raises funds for the broader Soldier On charity that supports currently serving members and veterans by providing a comprehensive approach to care for ill and injured members.

Contact your local golf courses directly to get more information on where donations can be made.
