A formalized education agreement has been reached between Canadore College and Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP).

SNP’s Brantford campus will have programs for students starting soon. The partnership between the schools will provide students with enhanced educational choices and pathways.

According to a joint release from the organizations, the agreement will develop community capacity, deliver education and training programs, develop and teach programming, create accelerated transfer avenues and share “Indigenous Knowledge” in a way that is consistent with First Nations Principles of Ownership, Control, Access and Possession (OCAP) and other community protocols.

Canadore President and CEO George Burton says that the partners place the well-being of students as priorities, adding that the school is “thrilled,” to be forming the partnership with the “very progressive,” SNP.
