MPP Vic Fedeli has introduced a “Fentanyl Patch for Patch Return Policy” in Ontario legislature. The Safeguarding Our Communities Act enforces that when people get a prescription for Fentanyl, they must return the patches to get new ones. Fedeli was joined by the North Bay and Area Community Drug Srategy Committee yesterday when the bill passed its first reading. The bill would mean greater control for doctors across Ontario over fentanyl patches, which are often sold on the streets to addicts. Last month a North Bay man was charged for dealing fentanyl patches worth over 23-thousand dollars.
