The former CogecoTV will now be known as YourTV.
Cogeco says it is branding their local television channel to better reflect what it feels it is offering to area viewers and hosted an open house Monday to preview their new season and introduce their new direction.
The announcement comes with a change in its local news coverage, which will now begin at 5 pm, something Manager of Programming and Community Relations in North Bay, Joey Roussy says was a move the audience desired.
Cogeco’s television programming has long been dubbed as “truly local,” a mandate Roussy says his team is poised to continue. He also feels that the lineup for the new season will please the audience with a mix of new and returning favourites, as will the station’s continued coverage of North Bay Battalion home and away games.
