Canadore more ‘diverse and inclusive’ and populated

Canadore College is reporting growth in enrollment of 5.5 per cent at its regional campuses.

The college has three campuses in North Bay and one in Parry Sound, with educational collaborations with partners across the province.

The growth can be broken down into a 2 per cent (or 41 total) increase in domestic students plus a 37 per cent rise in international student enrollment (an additional 97 students).

Shawn Chorney, VP of student services says that the final numbers will increase due to enrollees from the joint Nipissing University/Canadore Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. That program typically welcomes 400 students, with another 350 participating in apprenticeship programs.

“We are marking 2017 with the most diverse and inclusive student population that we’ve ever seen,” says Chorney.
