It’s a mixed result in Grade 9 math for students with the Near North District School Board. Figures from the Education Quality and Accountability Office show the Grade 9 applied math students surpassed the provincial average. However the board’s Grade 9 academic math students are eight points below the provincial average. The low results in math also show up in the board’s Grade 3 and 6 students. The Grade 6 students were 16 points below the provincial average while the Grade 3 group was 15 points below the average.
