Police sniff out North Bay-Toronto drug ring

A Highway 11 corridor drug trafficking network has been stymied, say the North Bay Police Service.

In conjunction with the Toronto Police Service Major Drug Section, five search warrants have been served and conducted.

Police say they seized four ounces of methamphetamine, one ounce of fentanyl powder, 981 grams of cocaine, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, $51,000 in Canadian currency, a 9 mm handgun, two vehicles and approximately $5,000 in stolen property recovered.

Three North Bay men and one Toronto man were each charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. One North Bay man had several additional charges laid including unauthorized possession of a weapon, breach of probation, and possession of stolen property.
