Update 2: Former Sturgeon Falls woman and family in need of help after Hurricane Maria slams Dominica

A Facebook posting says that former Sturgeon Falls resident Sara Ouellette Subero and her family are alive and well.  The family owns a resort in Dominica which was hit hard by Hurricane Maria on Monday destroying hundreds of buildings.  One of those structures was the Ouellette Subero   resort which the Facebook post says is no longer liveable.  Communication on the Caribbean island is down and the family says it will wait a few more days to see if it can be restored.  Otherwise they`ll leave their former resort and find shelter elsewhere which could mean heading to another Caribbean island.  Earlier, several guests at the resort weathered out the storm and then left for the capital.  They got a message out to family back in Sturgeon Falls that the Ouellette Suberos are alive.   The guests also told authorities that the family is in need right now and efforts are believed to be underway to get to them.
