It’s good news for a former Sturgeon Falls woman and her family who were trapped in Dominica last Monday when Hurricane Maria roared through. Sara Ouellette Subero and her children have been flown to safety with help from the Trinidad Coast Guard, Venezuelan Security and Canadian officials. The former Sturgeon Falls woman and her husband operated a resort on the Caribbean Island which the hurricane destroyed. Her husband Stephan Subero is staying behind at what’s left of their business to prevent looting. Family in Sturgeon Falls have created a go fund me account to help the Suberos rebuild their resort. The address is www.gofundme.com/subero-family-relief-fund for anyone wanting to help.
