Community clean-up by police and university group

The North Bay Police Service’s Environment Committee and Nipissing University student volunteers will be out in the community on Saturday, September 30 from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm to pick up litter and to collect food and clothing donations on behalf of Nipissing University’s Biidaaban Community Service-Learning and Wiidooktaadwin Indigenous Mentorship Initiatives programs.

This initiative is part of the volunteer training the students receive.

The participants will be concentrating their efforts in student housing areas on:

  • McNamara Street;
  • Sherryl Crescent;
  • Cypress Court;
  • Dover Court;
  • McGibbon Street; and
  • Southview Crescent;

Members of the public who wish to help in the clean-up are asked to meet outside the Lucky 13, 555 McKeown Ave., at 3:15 pm.
