A citizen returning home from walking his dog around 11 pm Monday found a man rummaging through his family’s vehicle on Tackaberry Drive.
According to police, the owner physically removed the male from the vehicle and detained him until police arrived.
North Bay Police Service says a search of the suspect found break and enter tools in his backpack. He also provided police with a false name.

A 27-year-old North Bay man is charged with theft under $5,000, trespass at night, possession of break-in instruments, and obstructing a peace officer.
The man has been held for a bail hearing.
