Tourist operator gets two years probation for ice hut incident

An Astorville man who had six commercial ice fishing huts for rent on Lake Nipissing this past January has been found guilty of the activity.  A court ruled that Marc Hyndman violated the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act because he was renting the huts without a proper license.  Hyndman operates Icehutrentals.ca and is a tourist outfitter.   The court gave him two years of probation.
