One of the Aboriginal communities that’s included in a historic First Nation Education Agreement is the Nipissing First Nation. Nipissing is one of the 23 First Nations covered by the deal. Most communities in the agreement, which gives education control to First Nations, are in Northern Ontario. The agreement affects about two thousand Ontario students and creates a framework for on-reserve education from J. K. to Grade 12.
