TransCanada is filing its application for the Energy East Pipeline Project with the National Energy Board today. Then they will hold a simultaneous news conference in both Quebec and Toronto. During the conference, the environmental assessment process and plan for the pipeline will be discussed. TransCanada wants to re purpose a pipeline that runs near Trout Lake to carry crude oil from Alberta to New Brunswick.
