On October 10 at 3:37 pm, a Mattawa OPP officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
Following an investigation, a 22-year-old Papineau-Cameron Township man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Methamphetamine
- Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs
- Owner Operate Motor Vehicle on a Highway – no insurance
The man’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days with an automatic suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The man has been released on a promise to appear, with a date to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Mattawa on November 1.
