Satisfied? Nipissing University students sure are

The Maclean’s university rankings are out and Nipissing ranked first in student satisfaction among primarily undergraduate universities in Ontario.

Nipissing moved up in a number of categories in this annual issue. The school is lauded as a leader in student life and residence living, for offering a safe and welcoming campus environment, and for providing excellent student services.

Nipissing ranked third in the nation for student satisfaction and ranked in the top five in eight categories focusing on primarily undergraduate universities nationwide, including:

  • Steps to Prevent Sexual Assault
  • Residence Living
  • Student Life Staff
  • Student Services
  • Mental Health Services
  • Student Satisfaction
  • Administrative Staff
  • Bureaucracy (Least Red Tape)

Nipissing University president Dr. Mike DeGagné says, “It’s important to note that the Maclean’s ranking exercise largely measures inputs, such as budgets, library acquisitions, and research dollars. Nipissing is a young school with a beautiful and exceedingly safe campus that excels at providing a quality education and top-notch student experience.”
