Sudbury police save Snowy Owl

A couple of alert police officers saved a Snowy Owl while on patrol near the Sudbury Supermall. The cops noticed quite a few ravens continually diving in an area by the mall and when they investigated they found the owl in a snow bank. The Wild at Heart Animal Refuge Centre in Walden was contacted and the hungry bird is now recovering at the facility. Staff say the Snowy Owl is now eating solid food. And they’ve named the bird “Copper” to recognize the two cops that helped the bird out.
