Nordic Minesteel Technologies Inc., has been recognized with a President’s Award from Workplace Safety North (WSN).
The North Bay company won in the Northern Ontario Business category, open to businesses located in northern Ontario, regardless of industry sector. Nordic Minesteel was one of only four companies to win the President’s Award, recognizing Ontario workplaces with a strong safety culture.
“The award winners are positive role models and deserve special recognition,” says Paul Andre, WSN Acting President and Chief Executive Officer. “By making health and safety a priority in the workplace, it sends a message to employees, customers, and the community in general, that a company is proactive and a business leader.”
Cementation Canada Inc. and J.S. Redpath Limited have also been honoured as Workplace Excellence Award winners, as was Nordic Minesteel. The President’s Award winners were selected from the list of 26 Workplace Excellence Award-winning companies.
