One person dies following early morning fire in North Bay

One person has died in a house fire on Algonquin Avenue in North Bay.  The fire broke out around 3:30 Thursday morning.  Fire department spokesman Randy Vezina says firefighters were on the scene at 3:38am and had the fire out in a matter of minutes.   Vezina says three people were rescued but one of them passed away.  He says as far as he knows, the other two victims are alright.   Vezina can’t say at this time where the people were found in the home or where the fire started.  The Fire Marshall’s Office has been called to help determine the cause.   Vezina says traffic will be able to use Algonquin but not the entire street.  The northbound lanes will be closed while the investigation continues.  But Vezina says the two south bound lanes will be converted into one north bound lane and one south bound lane from Front to Copeland.
