Councillor Derek Shogren says he likes the direction the City of North Bay is heading when it comes to spending on infrastructure.
Shogren, Vice Chair of the General Government Committee says he is pleased to see the 2018 capital budget move from the committee level to council.
Long an advocate for more spending on the city’s roads and sidewalks, Shogren acknowledges that there will never be enough money to get all of the wants and needs done. It is important, he says, to continue to chip away at projects of all sizes.
Shogren is also proud of the record spending on the city’s sidewalks that will be accomplished with the new budget and says he feels that citizens should take pride in the work that is being done to improve North Bay.
