Police searching for hunter missing since Monday

The search will resume Wednesday for a missing hunter from East Ferris Township.

Tuesday, at 9:57 am, the North Bay Detachment of the OPP received a call about a missing hunter near Lennon Lake in Hardy Township.

Murray Skuce, age 77, of East Ferris Township, is reported to have gone hunting on foot on Monday. It is reported that he knows the area very well, but he did not meet up with family at the predetermined time.

Officers from the North Bay OPP detachment attended the scene yesterday by boat along with the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, OPP Snow Machine, All Terrain Vehicle and Vessel Enforcement (S.A.V.E.) Unit, OPP CFOPP Aviation Services: Helicopter Division and family of the missing person. The OPP Helicopter utilized the Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) device.
