North Bay residents will have to wait a little longer before they can stream council meetings live on the internet. Right now Cogeco has a pilot project underway in Kingston where those meetings are broadcast over the Net. City Hall staff in North Bay suggest waiting to see how that program goes before spending money on the initiative. Councillor Mike Anthony supports the streaming and say it’s worth the $20,000 up front money plus up to $1,000 a month to deliver the service. He says council can come up with the money by trimming something else.
