Police Chief heading to board meeting with results from public consultations…

North Bay Police Chief Paul Cook is preparing to share the results of the two public consultation meetings that happened over a new fee proposal. Cook is proposing to add an $11 to $21-dollar fee to compliance notices. This means when someone has a broken headlight, on top of getting a three day warning by police, they would also have to pay the fine. Members of the public were generally against the fee proposal, saying that it will cause unneeded problems between police and the people. Cook will report on the results at the Police Services Board Meeting this Wednesday.
