News Don’t be alarmed, it’s not Red Dawn SHARE ON: Stu Campaigne, staff Tuesday, Nov. 28th, 2017 Photo credit: 22 Wing From November 27 to 29, local residents can expect to see increased military activity as training takes place at 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base North Bay. The exercise will run from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily. North Bayites could encounter military members wearing protective gear and carrying weapons on base. Officials say to expect vehicle checkpoints and possible delays at three potential locations: Duxford Road and Airport Road, Ayr Street and Carmichael Drive and at Manston Crescent and Duxford Road. The overall scenario is based on potential threats to 22 Wing. These threats require extensive military training to support the safety objectives of the base and are an opportunity for the command to achieve an increased level of preparedness for operations.
