Powassan has received a hefty federal grant for their new business industrial park. Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin has announced 387 thousand dollars in federal funding for the new park, as well as another $20,000.00 for upgrades to their Sportsplex and rec facility. The 387-thousand dollar grant will allow Powassan to build a fourteen acre industrial park, and will go towards a road extension, and enhancements in water and sewer.
