Now you can help the MNRF with unsolved crimes

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) has a new online tool that provides some details and maps some of the ministry’s unsolved cases.

Due to the remote locations where some of the crimes occurred, conservation officers are hoping the memories of hunters who were in those areas might be jogged by details of the cases. With the cooperation of the public, officers can get the information needed to close the cases.

There are currently seven unsolved violations in the northeast region, most involving shot and abandoned moose.

If you have any information on these or other crimes, contact conservation officers on the MNRF TIPS line at 1-877-847-7667 or online at https://www.ontario.ca/page/solve-natural-resource-case
