The Fraser Institute is out with its school rankings. In the North Bay region, St Gregory at 852nd in Powassan is the highest rated elementary school out of nearly 3,100 schools. North Bay’s St. Raymond and Vincent Massey are next tied for 986th spot. When it comes to high schools, West Ferris hits the top third out of 740 secondary schools ranking 243rd. The Fraser Institute doesn’t rate all schools and of those it does, it bases its findings on public data like province-wide testing.
