Tuesday’s snowstorm kept the North Bay and Powassan OPP busy with collisions. Police dealt with 18 crashes on Tuesday and 11 more on Wednesday because Highways 11 and 17 remained slippery and ice-covered. OPP say several incidents involved tractor trailers including one by Bonfield when a rig passed on the right and side-swiped a passenger vehicle. On Highway 11 just south of North Bay, a tractor-trailer landed in the ditch and blocked one lane for a while. And at Seymour and Fisher, a tractor-trailer rear-ended a passenger vehicle after the driver of the smaller vehicle lost control.
