North Bay City Council has closed the deal to sell the land at the corner of Seymour Street and the Highway 11/17 bypass.
The property that the former home of the North Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Dionne Quints Home Museum sat on has been sold for $1.6 million to Grant Castle Corp. The company plans to build a gas station, convenience store, and an A&W restaurant on the site.
The sale had been held up by the delay in moving the Dionne home. The plan was for the home to move to the downtown area by June 1, and was a contingency of the initial sale agreement.
Council approved the final sale after an in-camera session at Tuesday’s regular meeting of the whole.
