Stay warm, even Rocky would not train in this

North Bay will experience weather in the next few weeks that even legendary cold-weather trainer Rocky Balboa might shy away from.

A Siberian cold front is expected to swoop down on the area next week, making the air feel like a crisp 40 degrees below freezing with the wind chill.

The warning comes courtesy of meteorologists at the Weather Network, who are saying that the frigid air should remain into the second week of January. Temperatures themselves will stay close to the -20C mark, but the wind chill will drop the night air down to the -40C level.

There will be a reprieve from the biting cold mid-way through January, after which a period of thawing can be expected.
