In announcing that the Slingshot run would be ready to go by Christmas, it was looking like Laurentian Ski Hill would have a prosperous early season of skiing and snowboarding.
After so much optimism for the holiday season due to favourably cold snowmaking conditions during the nights leading up to the school break, it seems as though Laurentian Ski Hill got too much of a good thing.
The ski hill is closed today due to extreme wind chill temperatures. Christmas camps will continue to run in the upper lodge.
