An updated extreme cold warning states that a period of very cold wind chills continues into Saturday, with relief coming in the afternoon when temperatures are expected to reach a balmy minus 23.
Wind chills values have ranged from minus 40 to minus 48 this morning. North Bay and the surrounding area will see these extreme wind chill values again Friday night into Saturday morning.

- Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with the wind chill.
