Update 10:43am: North Bay Police Service says that northbound lanes should be reopened between noon and 1:00pm.
Algonquin is closed from Highway 17 to Landsdowne Avenue. It’s because a plow truck hit a hydro pole around 2:30 am Monday near Maplewood Avenue. Police want motorists and pedestrians to avoid Algonquin and several of the nearby streets until the hydro wires have been removed and the street is again declared safe.
