The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) has issued a water safety statement but says flooding is not anticipated at this time.
Due to rea watercourses beginning to rise above normal water levels from rain runoff and snowmelt that began Wednesday, the NBMCA has been prompted to issue the statement.
Rain runoff will continue today due to above-zero temperatures and precipitation. An additional 20-25mm of rain forecasted for today together with snowmelt will contribute to rising water levels in the area.
