Ontario Northland branches out

Ontario Northland has expanded its bus service west of North Bay to include Espanola, Sault Ste Marie, Wawa, White River and many communities in between.

Communities in the north, especially with large elderly populations, have experienced a lack of travel options other than by motor vehicle. Ontario Northland says the new routes will make life easier for northerners by connecting passengers to hospitals and college and university campuses.

Director of Passenger Operations Tracy MacPhee says that 20 communities and 750 kilometres will be added to the passenger bus system.
