North Bay chamber gives budget wish list to province

The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce wants the province to cut the corporate income tax rate to 10 per cent like it said it would.    The chamber is making that request at pre-budget meetings in Sudbury along with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.   The rate is currently 11.5 per cent.   The business group also wants more small business deduction tax brackets.   Chamber president Peter Chirico says the requests are to help businesses cope with a dramatic rise in the minimum wage.   Chirico says employers across Nipissing don’t oppose a higher minimum wage but don’t like how fast it was implemented.
