Three northern heavyweights have held a forum on improving healthcare in the north. The forum was to find short and long term solutions to ensure Northern Ontario has a sustainable doctor workforce. The Northern Ontario School of Medicine and North East and North West Local Health Integration Networks hosted the event. About 130 health system partners took part in the forum which looked at issues like the current status of physician need in the North. They also examined how to improve healthcare access for residents of rural communities.
