If you’re looking for a small break from winter, keep February 10th in mind. That’s when downtown North Bay holds the 55th annual Carnaval des Compagnons. There are lots of outdoor games and activities including demonstrations on ice sculptures and a lumberjack show. You can also ride a horse-drawn carriage. Main Street will be closed from Wyld to Fraser to accommodate the activities as well as one lane along Oak. The carnival runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
