A 25-year-old female is charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault after an incident last weekend.
On Sunday, North Bay Police Service officers attended a residence in North Bay after receiving information that a male victim had been stabbed and was being taken to the regional health centre by ambulance.
The victim says he and the accused got into a verbal argument. He says he went into another room in an attempt to put an end to the situation. He says the female came into the room and stabbed him in the right side with a steak knife, puncturing his lung.
Police arrested the female and she was kept in custody for bail court.
