Details are few, but the OPP is investigating a collision on a local snowmobile trail that has resulted in serious injuries.
Just past midnight on Wednesday, officers from the North Bay Detachment of the OPP responded to a collision involving a snowmobile. The incident took place on an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club (OFSC) Trail, in the Township of Phelps. The police investigation has revealed that the snowmobile collided with a tree. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
