$2.75M from province will create 40 jobs, allow Voyageur to expand operations at airport

The President of Voyageur Aviation Corp., Scott Tapson says that with the support of the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), the company will make investments in personnel and infrastructure at Jack Garland Airport.

Tapson adds that a rising demand for specialized regional aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services has created a need for Voyageur to expand. To that end, the NOHFC is investing $2,750,000 in Voyageur Aviation Corp. to help expand its operations at the Jack Garland Airport. Minister of Northern Development and Mines, Michael Gravelle, was in North Bay today to make the announcement.

While growth is assured for this local company on a global scale, the focus remains on Voyageur’s world-class regional aircraft engineering, maintenance, repair and overhaul facility right here in North Bay. Ontario is partnering with Voyageur Aviation to boost North Bay’s aviation sector through this investment to help the company expand its operations at the Jack Garland Airport.
