Friday at approximately 10:05pm, officers from the Powassan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle for travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 11 in Powassan.
Upon speaking to the driver, the officer detected an odour of marijuana in the vehicle. As a result of the police investigation a 42-year-old Kitchener man has been arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance
- Speeding
The accused has been released on a notice to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 20, in North Bay.
