Fedeli says North Bay region has nine percent fewer jobs than a decade ago

MPP Vic Fedeli says there’s a very disturbing jobs picture being painted for the North Bay region.    On the heels of Ontario losing 51,000 jobs last month, Fedeli researched the area job situation.    He says employment numbers have not been good to the region over the long term.   Fedeli says statistics from the last 10 years show the area has nine percent fewer jobs today compared to 2008.   Fedeli says two of the hardest hit areas are the mining and forestry suppliers which the city is home to.   The Tory MPP adds a big factor affecting mining and forestry  has been the high cost of electricity.
