Canada Meat Group has purchased three acres of land for $123,000 after Council approval at Tuesday night’s meeting.
The company will set up a meat processing plant on the land and the venture has the fingerprints of Invest North Bay all over it, according to board member and Councillor Derek Shogren. He says the sale demonstrates that the land at the industrial park can be used for a variety of purposes.
Shogren says Canada Meat Group will hold an introductory press conference in the near future to clear up matters such as its opening date and the number of jobs that will be created.
