A North Bay man faces several child pornography charges following a search and his arrest.
In the aftermath of an online child pornography investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a North Bay residence, the North Bay Police Service, with the assistance of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Cybercrime Unit, have arrested 52-year-old John Michael Jensen of North Bay for various child pornography offences.
Jensen is charged with:
- Two counts of possession of child pornography
- Accessing child pornography
- Making child pornography available
- The unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
During the execution of the search warrant, police seized a computer that will be examined for evidence by the Greater Sudbury Police Service Cybercrime Unit.
The prohibited weapon charge stems from a set of nunchaku (nunchucks) that were located and seized during the execution of the warrant.
Jensen had been held in custody pending a show cause bail hearing on February 28.
