Fedeli: Small contractor payments to WSIB gone under Tory government

Vic Fedeli says something he warned the Premier about over forcing small contractors to pay into Workplace Safety Insurance Board has come to pass.  The Nipissing MPP told the Wynne Liberals that forcing these small contractors to pay extra insurance would force some to close.  And he says that’s now happening.  Fedeli adds the extra insurance small contractors pay to the WSIB, which can amount to $6,000 annually,  doesn’t help them at all  because their own private insurance coverage is superior to that from the WSIB.  Contractors having been paying WSIB insurance for nearly two years and Fedeli says those payments will be gone under a Progressive Conservative government.  He says the only reason the Liberals are forcing this group to pay into the system is to help the WSIB with its $14-billion liability.
