The Laurentian Ski Hill and the Nipissing Trackers can always say that they were a part of the Rick Mercer Report’s final episodes.
Comedian Rick Mercer spent Sunday at the hill, taping for an upcoming installment of the CBC program.
The segment stars the Nipissing Trackers, a free downhill ski program for special needs children that has been changing lives for nearly 30 years. This year is the biggest season yet, with 30 volunteers providing approximately 350 lessons to roughly 50 students and their families over a five-week period.
The 15th and final season of the Rick Mercer Report wraps shortly and the Nipissing Trackers organizers will be contacted when the segment is scheduled to air. MyNorthBayNow.com will share the airing date as more information becomes available.
Mercer will be back in town May 5th to perform in Rick Mercer’s Canada Coast to Coast to Coast at the Capitol Centre.
